Well, a couple of days before our bundle of
JOY arrived in our family....we took one last traditional picture of
MY tummy compared to my
dad's! He always says he has a
POP belly, but mine was
much more!
We also took some pictures of
Daddy kissing our little one....
and the two older
brothers!
(This was not a rare sight around the house, they loved kissing their soon to be little brother!!)
Then the big day arrived! I had gone to a doctor appt the day before and was dilated at a 4+ and still 90% effaced. No contractions or pains whatsoever! The doctor wanted me to come back the next morning to check again and see if it was more. The issues were....I never ever contract and this baby could just fall out when I walk down the road or something! ;) No really the issue was I was group B strep positive and you have to have antibiotics on board for so many hours before you deliver, or it can be harmful to the baby.
ALSO, I am a big fan of
EPIDURALS and the doctor thought that since I was so dilated
(5+now)and effaced that I could go
WAY too fast (
and soon anyways) and not be able to have either of the above. Hence, he sent me right up to the hospital then and there! Nope, hadn't even packed a bag,
shoulda listened to Aaron! ;)
While Aaron was scrambling back at home to get the kids cleaned up for the day, packed and off to a sitter. I was hooked up to antibiotic IV's and chatted away with my good ol friend and nurse Lori! Aaron got up to the hospital as soon as he could, and we watched Olympics for most of the morning while the meds kicked in. Then the
bad news happened..
da da da...they came in my room and told me that they had given me the
wrong antibiotics and that we would have to wait more hours to get the new one on board!
BOO! Nope, I wasn't in
ANY pain and
YES I was able to watch lots of good Olympics...but it did get to be a
LONG day sitting in that bed!
Then when all the antibiotics were good and ready, my water was broken...and we decided to get the epidural pretty soon after. It kicked in good and hard on my Left side, and so/so on my Right! We watched more Olympics and waited and waited for the contractions to get painful and hard!
They never did! (not complaining...trust me!) We had decided not to use the
PITOCIN, so things took a bit longer than we had thought.
BUT, the time came...and
Dr. Norda (
Dr. Fowers was outta town) came in and said it was time! I was in shock cuz they hadn't checked me in awhile and I wasn't feeling anything. I was then checked and at a
3+ and yes, ready to go! Within minutes, and just a few contractions and pushes...he was out, things were cleaned up and gone. It was flabbergasting and nuts! No, I am not complaining again! It just blew my mind how fast and easy it all went! Such an easy and pain free delivery!
LOVED IT! My other two delivery's have been great, but this one was
AWESOME! Maybe I should have
10 more?
NOPE!
Dr. Norda getting things ready for me to push! (
yes, that is my leg...ewwww!)
Aaron captured me chatting away, as always! That is the wonderful thing about Epidurals...you can have a conversation and a baby at the same time!
:)
Then

ALL my nurses my whole stay were
DELIGHTFUL and
wonderful! I felt so taken care of and I was
VERY impressed!)
He wasn't loving the bath so much!
He
loved getting his hair washed though!
Then all wrapped and swaddled and placed in his little bed.

We just love
watching, kissing and snuggling on him! He already seems to be changing minute by minute!

Mommy missed all her other little boys, but snuggling this little man made up for it!
Then we got released and daddy came to get us to go
home!
The older brothers were super excited!
Car seat check! So tiny in that thing.
We now are

We love his funny stretches...
...and tiny tongue sticking out...and sometimes the wide eyed self when not sleeping! He sleeps a lot!
We feel
Crew is where he needs to be! Our family feels more complete with him and we
love him so much! Yes, there will be hard days and long nights...but bring it on! He is our trooper! We are so blessed to have him in our lives!
More pictures by the millions I am sure will be soon coming your way! ;)
