The past couple of weeks!

These last couple of weeks have been loads of fun. The Christmas parties slowed the closer to Christmas, so we took advantage of driving down to SLC to visit our great friends Ry and Ree! We hit the Salt Lake Temple lights, ohhh what a sight. No matter how many times I see them, they are just so pretty. It was darn cold, but we enjoyed going in the visitors centers and then back out to see the lights. Tate didn't mind the cold at all, he just loved all of the colors. (he kept saying wow and ewwww...SO CUTE!) We had a great time on the front runner train, first time for all of us on the train, ate at Training Table and visited a lot. Great times with old friends.

Christmas Eve, we had a great dinner and lots of fun playing around in the gym of the church. The McClellan family has grown too big for any homes. Nobody wanted theirs homes trashed. We ate soo much and enjoyed everyones company.

Christmas morning Tate slept in forever. We hated to wake him, knowing that it was going to be a busy day and he wouldn't get a good nap. BUT we finally gave in though and did. We had to take a picture of him first, he looked so cute and funny at the same time. Tate LOVED opening his and our few packages. Christmas is so much more fun now with him in our home. Aaron and I had way too many Christmas' that we just did gifts for each other and thought it was fun....NO WAY this is much more fun!!!
We hung with family, ate great food, watched a movie and just enjoyed each others company.

Now for the month of January, anyone have any good ideas to make this month go by a bit faster. I always have a hard time with January. YOU??

So that is the re-cap or our wonderful Christmas...Hope that you all have a wonderful and SAFE New Years!!!!!

BEAUTIFUL TEMPLE SQUARE LIGHTS!

TATE WAS SO CUTE TRYING TO PLAY WITH ALL OF THE BIG KIDS AT THE CHURCH

It's a Healthy little boy!!!!

Yup, you are seeing right...Tate is going to be a Big brother to another little boy. I don't think that he really understands it, but we know that he is excited! Yup and we are too!! We went in for an ultrasound the other day hoping all would be healthy with this little one and as far as they could tell he is. He wouldn't turn and let us see his little face, so hopefully all is well there...but he was sitting Indian style having a nap on my uterus. Sounds comfy doesn't it!!!

I would be lying if I didn't say I would have loved a daughter, what mom wouldn't....but we have thoroughly enjoyed Tate as a son SO much, who wouldn't want another. I am sure that at times it will be crazy and VERY tough with them so close and being boys in general......but bring it on...motherhood is awesome!

If you feel like you were left out on this big news, join the club most people have been. My family just found out a couple weeks ago themselves. ***Due date Cinco de Mayo = 5th of May! YAY***

Well there is our bit of news.....enjoy your holidays and be safe! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas is a busy time!

The holidays are always so much fun! We go to plenty of parties and enjoy all that it has to offer. This year seems to be going ohhh to fast! I am getting a little sad, just because before we know it..it will be over and boring! I really think that January is my least favorite month.

Tate had his second session with Santa...and this year didn't go as good as last. (see last year off to the right, in the side bar) He seemed fine all the way up till...... Santa's knee! He was so funny, as soon as he was off of the knee, he was happy as could be. Ohh what do you do.

Some friends came over the other night to make some ginger bread houses. Below is my not so good of an attempt at making one. We cheat and do the cheap way and do it out of Graham crackers. Cheaper=harder!! Mine collapsed three times and so I pretty much gave up on it and called it good. Sorry it looks so silly.

I went visiting teaching the other day and a lady in my ward had made a "teeny tiny nativity" set, using little pots. I just thought that it was the most darling thing out there! Tate and I went to the craft store the other day and bought the items needed. I thought that it turned out real fun and Tate really enjoys it. Hopefully he will enjoy it for years to come. I am not done with it yet, I still need to buy a teeny...teeny tiny pot for baby Jesus, a star, straw and paint the stable. Fun times!

Last, Tate was just so darn cute on Sunday after church, I
had to take a couple pics.

Holiday fun!!!!!!!!

I stood Tate next to the big tree the other night to take his picture with his warm jammies. He stood so big and proud with a huge smile on his face. They were so cute... I just kept taking more and more. The flashes must have started to hurt, cuz the faces started to get funny. I just can't believe how big he is getting. Life sure would not be complete without him in our home. WE LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!

Cheese!

My wonderful and great friend Emilee Beck came to town. We got together for a few hours just to sit and chat and watch the kids play. They are all so cute. Emilee and I have a tradition of taking mug shot pics and these are the latest.

Our kissy face looks more like a MOO!

Wishing the best!

My heart has been aching the past few days for the Andersen's and Tami's family. How hard it is to loose a loved one, let alone more. Plus in such a horrible way and this time of year. Curtis and Tami will be missed by many people. Of course family, friends, loved ones but mostly their children. Jen and Jamie (which whom I blog with) I wish you the very best in the grieving and coping process, oh how very hard this must be on you both. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do.

My three trees!!

Ya, I went a little nuts last year with after Christmas shopping and bought two Christmas trees.($12.99 smaller tree, and $7.99 bigger tree..can't beat that!) The only problem with it is, I already had one! So now I have three trees and at the moment are REALLY enjoying them. It took a lot of time to get everything up, but well worth it now. I bought all new ordaments for the big tree upstairs (we call this one the "modern tree".) Too bad that pictures don't do a tree justice...all of the glitter and lights just don't show up on the pictures..so come over and see with your eyes. The 2nd tree we call "mini", we have it in the kitchen and it is what Tate loves to point at, it is pre-lite, but we added a little strand of colored lights to add to the fun. The third and final tree is in the family room, we call it our "fun tree". It has all of the homemade ornaments and everything that we have had over the years. I wanted a tree in this room, cause that is where we are a lot of the time. I figured we might as well have a tree to look at, Right???? I love it at night when you have lights all over the house reminding you of this special time of year, hope that you have a wonderful Holiday Season!!

My new tree topper star!

"Fun" tree in the family room. (Tate has moved a lot of these ornaments around.)

Now for the advertisement part of this post....This is my new BFF!! I just wanted to share with you how great this rake is. It is just a carpet rake, but for you vacuum freaks like me that like the fresh, fluffy look. Rake your stairs, living room whatever and it looks just like you vacuumed it, and you just spent seconds. Now of course if you have crumbs and such to vacuum, please vacuum...but if you just did hours ago and it looks matted and people are coming over...a quick rake and Waa-laa. Perfection!! I have wanted one of these for years and finally my awesome hubby got me one at Don Aslets. He got the BIG one, but you can get a smaller one, just takes a little more time. Sorry to bore you, but it really is my my newest BFF and I just had to share!!

Tate loves being nakee!!!

My sisters little daughter loves to say that she is nakee (instead of naked.) We all think this is very funny, mainly by how she says it. Tate loves to be nakee, and absolutely hates getting his diaper on. You know they run as far away as possible. He has had a diaper rash these last couple of weeks and we have tried to dry it out by having him streak. This is a bad thing, he has let a little pee go a couple of times. Oh well, at least it's not poop and the diaper rash seems to get a little better each day.

He also loves the tub and could get in a thousand times a day. So to conserve on water, we have done the sink tub a few times and he really quite likes it. I have to laugh how cute he looks in the sink. The only bad thing is at some point or another we have got to get him out and he freaks!

Tate in the sink tub!

Doing Ok getting out!

Daddy took a pic of Tate lying on mommy's back!

Rocking out to music, somewhat nakee...sitting on mommys back...sorry about the bum shot! (that's Aaron for you)

I bought a Turkey!

No not a real Turkey, I will do that next week. I bought a material Turkey!

A few years ago I painted a couple of Turkeys and as decor. Well this year I splurged and bought a $6.00 material Turkey. I thought that he was pretty cute and Tate sure likes him...that is what matters the most! Aaron really wants to put out the Christmas stuff, but I told him that we can wait one more week and enjoy our Turkey decor for now. (Pssst: I am way excited to put out the Christmas stuff though too, last year I went a little nuts at the after Christmas sales.)

I did it!!!

I hope that everybody got their invite to my blog. I know that many of you do not like private blogs and same with me. I just had a lot of strange people visiting that I didn't care for. (one from Italy that REALLY freaked me out) and then with the news on KSL that people have been telling me about, I figured this is the best way to protect my family and I would do anything to protect my family! Hope you don't mind the change and please keep checking into our blog. We love comments and loving keeping in contact with great friends....thanks for understanding!!!

LAST CALL.....GOING PRIVATE!

I know that I have been a slacker for the last month or two with this whole private thing....but it really is time. I have gotten many emails (Thank You!) but also haven't gotten a few. If you are interested in viewing my blog still, please leave me your email, other wise.....oh well.

What a Great Halloween!

Halloween was a great day for us. We enjoyed the costumes, candy and all that the holiday has to offer. We got lots of loot this year and thanks to Tate, we will have candy for a life time. (He is able to eat some of it...smarties, suckers and such...But mommy and daddy will really enjoy the chocolate..hee hee) We had plans to hit Lee's and some of the other places in town for trick or treating, but Tate had a nice long nap instead. We ran up to the Mall and got tons of candy there and then hit our wards "Trunk or Treat". We really enjoyed seeing all of the ward members and kids in AWESOME costumes! Tate enjoyed giving his candy back to all of the givers, I thought that was pretty cute of him. Aaron handed out the treats with Mike, while the ladies and kids hit the trunks. After Megan and Ariana went around the blocks and hit the houses in our neighborhood that we didn't get candy from at the trunk or treat. I was very impressed to see some of the houses and how festive they get for this holiday. I got a big scare at one....smoke machine...skeleton laughing at me..it made me jump a mile(thanks Towers). I was pooped from the long day when I got home, but managed to still answer the door to thousands of kids! (WOW WAS IT A GREAT YEAR FOR TRICK OR TREATERS OR WHAT?!!) I think that the warm weather helped in this a lot. No jacket was required....I loved it! Thanks for all the fun, to all of the spookers out there...until next year!

BOO!!! Pretty scary HUH!!!

The Wonder bread man!

Mike snuck this surprise picture on my camera..so I thought that I might as well post it....Thanks MIKE!

SCARY TIMES!!

These last couple of weeks I have really just wanted to scream....not for the reason for Halloween, but for illness reasons. So not to bore you too much, I wont go into the details. It started off last week Aaron got the flu, I got the head cold + sinus infec + cough and Tate had a cold + maybe earache and the throw ups and diarrhea. Scary times huh!! As this on and off issue went on....we did enjoy a few activities.

We went to my Bro-in-laws famous Halloween party. My mom tended Tate while we went and enjoyed our evening. (we did stop in at our ward party first and got some funny stares for wearing such crazy outfits....our ward doesn't dress up...I guess)

Me and Aaron in our last minute...thrown together "Cave People" costumes!

Cody and Katie as AWESOME Umpaloopas!

Tate and I enjoyed a beautiful evening outside on out NEW grass.... Aaron was doing a little landscaping on our yard....while Tate sat on my knee (SOO CUTE) and watched mommy carve a funny looking Jack-O-Lantern!!!

We hit the Famous North Logan "Pumpkin Walk"....I was worried that I wouldn't make it this year with all of the illness in our home (I don't think that I have ever missed a year since I grew up just up the road from it. It started at the little farm, just up the road from us and just grew bigger and bigger and now it is at the park and just insane with how many people go now)...but we broke loose on the last day of it and saw the great pumpkin art!

Tis the season for illness.....but we have enjoyed the Halloween fun....candy anyone?!?
