Neighborhood BBQ!

We had a great neighborhood BBQ last night! The ward missionaries have been around inviting us to be better neighbors. We are a HUGE ward....and a lot of people are new and haven't been met. We usaually have a neighborhood BBQ in the summer, so this year we thought that we would get the ball rolling and get it in before all the holiday stuff starts. We had a pretty good turn out, not as many as we would have liked...but it was great to see and visit some of the great neighbors and friends that we live by. Enjoy the pictures! (Some people had left already, so sorry if you are not in the slide show - LANDON AND JANELL!!!)

Good News Update!

Aaron doesn't need surgery! YEAH!! Thank you for all that prayed for us...it worked! The doc called today and said that he had 3 doc's come in and analize the CATscans and X-rays. They all thought that it would HEAL nicely, with just a cast. (oh that was a pun...beacause it was his HEEL that is broken in three places... haa haa, I made a joke.) ANYWAYS....so he needs to keep off of it and keep it elevated till monday and then they will put the cast on it. The doc thinks he may only be in a cast for a couple to three weeks. If this is so...it will be a miracle! I really hope that it is. He really need to have some summer, he works so hard.

So I will keep updating on the details, but for now we are very happy!

(I really should post the pictures of his foot today. It is the biggest foot I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot of broken and sprained feet in my days working at a doctor's office.)

Summer time BLUES!!!

So Yesturday I started thinking that it would be fun to do a post on Aaron's new hobby. Paragliding!!! Aaron has gone a handful of times and just LOVES it. I wanted to do a positive post about paragliding....but today I feel otherwise. I was just a little scared because of the risks that could happen. A month or so ago, he sprained his ankle really badly. I was the wife that told him that..."ohh I am glad that you have a hobby but this is very risky with starting a new buisness."

Well this morning he and his buddy's got up early for a morning flight. Next thing I knew I got a call from my husband stating that his flight was beautiful.... but the landing not so much. Just looking at it I knew it was broken. We ran around all day from doctor to doctor to doctor. He had X-rays, Cat scans and now we just wait.....wait for the news if surgery is needed or if a cast is all we need. I hope and pray that surgery is not needed. We have terrible insurance!!

Aaron is really bummed. He loves summer just as much as I do. He was planning a trip to Lake Powell in a couple of weeks with loads of water skiing and wakeboarding with his buddies. He is in charge of the Stake Priest Retreat this upcoming weekend full of water activities and the works. I feel bad that he has to miss out on all the water things, he looks forward to all year but.... I know Aaron he will figure something out. He always does!

AARON'S NEW BEST FRIENDS!!

THESE ARE PRIOR FLIGHT PICS.

THE PICTURES DONT SHOW HOW BAD IT REALLY LOOKS.

Splish Splash-Foggy Time!

We decided it would be a great idea to get Tate a little swimming pool, when we noticed Tate hated to get out of the tub. I bought this awesome frog pool a month or so ago and couldn't wait to have him swim. I thought this would be perfect on our new grass when we get it. But as you can see in the back ground...no grass yet. I can't complain, Aaron has been helping our nabors with a lot of their landscaping stuff and so he will be blessed greatly. We gave in and put a blanket on the cement patio and Tate didn't even mind. He really enjoyed his first swim, this might have to be an everyday occation.

We Love Logan Yes We DO, We Love Logan How About YOU?

Willow park fun times!

What great Dads!!

Summer is finally here (I think)! We had a great weekend with friends and fathers day. We enjoyed the wonderful weather and all it had to offer.

Our wonderful friends Ryan, Cheri, Tyson and Sophie came up from Syracuse, UT to visit and go to the Summerfest. We met them in our old ward when they lived here going to school up at USU. We got to be wonderful friends and pretty much did EVERYTHING together for many years. Ryan got a job down south and they moved. SOB! It was really sad to see them go, but great to have them come back and visit. They enjoy coming up to go to some of the events still. (ie: summerfest, cruise in, fireworks and so on.) We love you guys and you are welcome any time in our home.

We first started the weekend helping our great next door neighbors lay sod (well mainly Aaron did) but I cheered them on. Aaron set their sprinkler clock and tried to fix a few issues with the sprinklers because the guy that put them in for them went to jail and they are really frustrated with how he did the system.

Soon after our friends Ryan and Cheri and their cute family pulled in and we started our day. We went to Albertsons and grabbed some chicken and hit Willow park. We ate and visited while the kids had a great time playing. Sophie and Tate enjoyed a swing together. We ran into our great friends Bub and Nelly at the park. They use to be in our old ward with us also. We have some great memories of tons of fun with Bub, Nelly and Ry and Ree.

After a short pit stop at the house we hit the Summerfest. (It was my third time going #1thurs with Megan W. and Blake, #2fri- with my hubby #3 with friends... but it is always enjoyable.) We enjoyed the booths and all of the fun music, food and the works. We met up with a few of our friends Skyler, Russel, Anni, Cody and Katie. Mindi and her kids found us also. We enjoyed walking around but mainly seeing people we haven't seen in awhile. I was thrilled to run into Jess M. that I thought I had lost and never would see again. I have missed her greatly but she said she had moved back to Logan. Yippeee! Jess we WILL get together soon!!!! We also ran into Cami Lacley Martinez my high school friend. She has the cutest little boy pictured here that is just a couple weeks older than Tate... but much bigger. So cute! We saw so many of Aaron's buddy's and a bunch of my friends. We had a ball!! We took some crazy pictures of the kids on a turtle, mean cat, dino and a gorilla. Silly times. Sadly the darkness came and it was time to leave good-ol-summerfest for another year and go home to bed. But Oh No! we forgot fathers day gifts!! ahhh we told our friends goodbye and love ya and Aaron hit the stores at 10:30 at night to find a very last minute gift. Sorry to all the dads. I put the very tired little boy Tate to bed.

Father's day- we went to church and afterwords we had to take a nap so we enjoyed that. We woke and started to make the rounds to all three dads. We love you Kent, Brent and Scott!! Hope your day was great.

I must admit I am a terrible wife... with everything going on this week and Tate having an ear infec. and sore throat I didn't hit the stores for the wonderful father in our home AARON. He is such a great daddy to Tate. He plays with him all the time and gets him to laugh and giggle more than I would ever be able to do. Tate LoveS him so much and so do I. You mean the world to us and we just want you to know that. Don't worry people I am going to hit the stores today and get him a wonderful gift. (what in the world should I get him, any ideas???)

Anyway sorry about the longness of this post but some of you go on and on and on!!! Just kidding, but in a nutshell great times!!! Love you all and thanks to all that comment we love it!

P.S. My dad told me yesturday that the days are going to start getting shorter after the 20th and I am really bummed about that. SO PEOPLE PLEASE ENJOY EVERY MINUTE YOU GET OUTSIDE!

CANCER WALK FOR TYSON

Aaron and Charee LoVe Tyson.

Lots of walkers for Tyson.

Kent walking and talking.

Tate loved his glow stick.

Suzy's sister and in-law.

This last weekend was the 'cancer walk' down at the blue sox baseball diamond. We joined as a family (TYSON'S TEAM) to walk around the track as many times as possible to show our support. There was a lot of people there to walk for their loved ones who have passed on or are fighting cancer. It was really chilly and people were going to walk all night. They had food, games and lots of entertainment. We couldn't walk too late because of Tate, but we did as much as he could take. Tyson (Aaron's step brother) who I have spoken about in an older post has cancer and has been given a couple weeks up to two months to live. This prediction from the doctors was just over a month and a half ago. We hope and pray that Tyson will be as comfortable as possible during this hard time. His sloggen is NEVER GIVE UP!!! We love Suzy (Tyson's mom) so very much and want her to know that she is so strong and we know that this has got to be a very difficult time for her.

As a side note Logan City is doing this wonderful thing. You pay $5.00 at the Rec center once a year and they will give you a T-shirt, pedometer, and a log. All you have to do is walk.....and log how much you have. Every 100 miles (which sounds like a lot) they will give you 3 passed to the outdoor pool or 5 passed to the rec center to work out or whatever. I just think this is sooo great cuz, we all walk and we all want to go to the pool at some point or another. Why not get fit and go for free all summer? Aaron and I and a bunch of our neighbors are doing this! (thanks for telling me about this Megan W. YOU ARE GREAT!!) Aaron just from his job is raking up the numbers and the cancer walk sure helped the other night.

AUNT CHAREE LOVES KIANNA SOOO MUCH!

GIRAFFES AND KIDS!

GORILLAS ALL OVER THE PLACE!

ALWAYS GOOD TIMES WITH FAMILY!

Aaron, Tate and I went down for a business trip and had some free time afterwords. We hit the HOGLE ZOO. Aaron and I hadn't been there since our childhoods and so we thought that it would be fun to go for us but also for Tate. He really enjoyed looking at the animals (we were suprized that he liked looking at them so much for his age.) Mindi Fiefia (Aaron's sister) and her five kids made the drive down to enjoy it with us. The kids enjoyed the animals but more so the nasty reptiles. YuCk!

The Whiteside's are our really good friends from our ward and they caught this picture the other day on the swing set. Tate must have been really relaxed swinging...or was really tired!?! Blake and Tate are buds going on a fun bike ride together!

Emilee Beck came up from SLC and planned a fun little picnic at Merlin Olsen park. We ate way too much junk food and had a good time visiting. The kids had a ball playing on the jungle gym while the husbands played football. Aaron was unable to attend because he was working :(
