My little buddy just turned 2 years old on the 13th of September! I can't believe that he has been in our lives for 2 years, yet I can't believe that it has only been that long. What a joy Tate has been in our lives. We love this dude sooo much. He has so much personality, so much energy and soo much love. These last 2 years have been so much fun, yet tiresome! Tate can be quite shy around some people, yet quite outgoing around others. He LOVES his little brother and treats him really pretty good. He kisses him like crazy. Tate loves doing chores..he really is quite a good helper. He loves helping momma and dadda with lots of odds and ends, and is good at them also. Tate says many words. We were trying to write them all down, but there were so many we stopped. He wont say drink, and some of the ones that would really help us out on a daily basis. He loves saying "where did it go??" and "what's that", "I want up" and so on.
Tate had a little birthday party with a few of his little friends in our ward and cousins. Cars was the theme!! TATE IS OBSESSED WITH CARS LATELY!!!! It was a really hot day, so we did a "getto" party in the garage. We played a few games..(the kids were not so into them)-pin the steering wheel on the car, race tiny cars down a track, water balloons, and so on. All the kids won a metal. Then we ate car cakes and chatted. Tate enjoyed his day, even though he still wasn't sure what it was all about. He got tons of cars from pretty much everyone. He loved opening gifts.
Tate had another party at grandma's house with more cousins on Monday night. He got another cake, and more car gifts. HE IS IN HEAVEN! He got car pj's and a car shirt and I gave him books.
Until next year Tater Tot..............we love you!
ohhh and a couple of updated pictures of Davin....first time for sweet potato's (they have been working to get him to poop....YAY!) and just a smiley one of my buddy!
Over Labor day weekend our friends the Wilcox's invited us up to their cabin at Bear Lake. (Aaron had already said yes to going to Lake Powell with some other friends.) So I thought I would go ahead and enjoy my weekend and go to Bear Lake with them. The cabin was so beautiful!! So big and spacious. It was fun....BUT I can say it was one of the hardest weekends of my life. I would never make it as a single parent. I had taken the kids to the doctor right before and both had double ear infections. Ugh! They were hard....but I made it 5 long days with out him. He better not go again...........for a VERY long time!
