This last week has been a
FUN filled one filled with
SUN~
family~ and ~
friends! Could it get better than that
?!? I think not!
First:
My
DADDY~O turned the BIG
69!! We had a fun party for him to celebrate this last year of his 60's. I gave him 2 pairs of shorts to wear...(the first pair of his
LIFE) and he
loves them. We will make him young yet..that awesome young
whipper snapper!
Love these boys!
This is his favorite place to hang these days...on his lounge (as he calls it!) I just had to capture it for good times sake!
Second:
Our friends the
Maughn's invited us and another family to a cabin in
BEAR LAKE!! SWEET WATER that is!
We LOVE going to the LAKE!!!! It was
SUCH a great and wonderful
BLAST of a time!! Loved it all!
The view from the cabin.
The first night we ate some
BEAR Lake pizza and put the kids to bed. We hung outside under the
BRIGHT and beautiful stars. Of course chatted and goofed off til late.
SILLY!
The next morning we woke and packed up to hit the good ol
LAKE of the BEAR! It was
PACKED with people. We were lucky enough to have some friends of our friends offer their families beach for us to play on. It was
PERFECT! They were a
hoot to get to know and hang with.
Great
sand beaches!
Great
friends and company!
The people even had a boat they offered to take us out on. They hooked the
water weenie (my personal fav) and the
water biscuit up at the same time. While the boat was flying along, we would hop back and forth from one to the other. It was a
TOTAL BLAST and beat us up like crazzzyyyy..but was
SOO worth it!! I have lots of battle wounds to show for it!
;)
Here is the biscuit with all the kids chillin' on it! (one of my new fav's!)
We rowed around a bit in this little number.
(sorta sinking) I was the one steering...and we pretty much went in circles. HA HA! Good times still!
We played on the
AWESOME wave runners most of the day. It was
SUPER busy out with tons of boats and such...but we were careful!
Tate ready to hit the waters with daddy!
Davin's turn to hit it!
The man of the hour with the boys!
STUDLY!
We were showing off our stuff too! ;)
We swam out through sea weed and all. Janell was trying to dunk my face the whole way out.
Didn't succeed! HA!
The boys chilled on the beach with the beach toys!
LOVE it when they play so good! I love them so!!
Now back at the cabin all cleaned up, the boys had a great play area to
PLAY! It was soo nice!
Mom and Dad Loved playing on the
four wheelers and
motorcycle more with them though.
We enjoyed goofing off on the
Teeny TINY Motor bike!
Third:
We then headed home just in time to hit my sisters
40th BLACK BIRTHDAY party! My brothers came down from WA and OR to join in on the fun along with my other family members. It was
SOOOOOO fun to be all together!
She looks pretty darn good for
40 I think! She was the princess of the hour!
There was 5 missing in the gang..but not too shabby for our scattered out family!
Goofy off is our middle name!
All the sibs (youngest to oldest) and the parents!
AWW..love em~
Being silly still!
Then the
Limbo times!
What a
riot!
Then the boys all were trying to show off
THEIR stuff! This is super hard. Not too shabby babe!
Fourth:
The
24th of July celebrations!
We always hit the parade on center street. Our old stomping grounds!! Fun times with lots of
fun people!
The kids getting lots of good ol
treats and LOOT!
Chillin' with the hubs!
AWWWW...so cute!
Aaron's work mate!
SPOTS~
We then hit the
WILLOW park for all of the festivities. The
candy cannon was fun for the boys to run around and collect all of treats that they just don't need. ;)
That evening...a storm was brewing and we just were not sure if the firworks would get cancelled or not. Sooo instead....we sat out front of the house and watched all of our neighbors do their personal firworks. Man, people are RICH!! We bought some cheap ones and then watched the Willow ones from the driveway. It worked out perfectly!! Family and friends joined in on the fun!
Sparklers!
Being dorks!
Good times and people!
Then:
After the kids were all settled in bed...Aaron and I snuck up onto the roof to watch the late night show of fireworks around the valley. It was
sooo relaxing up there with the cool breeze in our hair....and the beauty all around. We tried to take a picture with our eyes open. This was as good as we could get. Ha ha! Then we called it a night!
We
LOVE summer time and all of it's wonderful times and enjoyment..but we also are so grateful for our
freedom and also the
pioneers that made their way here for us!
What a wonderful thing to celebrate!!
