It's turning cooler!!

Since the weather is turning cooler, and the forecast says it will never get up to these nice temps again...this week we tried to fit in just a bit more.

The park of the week- The SKATE park! Ha Ha! (running out of options) The boys LOVED watching the skateboarders though. They kept saying the whole time "daddy needs to come and do this." I think he really does too. ;) It really was quite fun to see the talent of these little "dudes."
The boys even got into it, and started sliding down some of the ramps on their bums.
Then we went to a real park! The main WILLOW park. Usually super busy and HOT..but not this day. We were GOLDEN! Couldn't have been more perfect!
The boys had the WHOLE place to themselves for about five minutes...and then the "after school club" bus got there and it was MADNESS! We then left!
Since the weather is turning cooler...it means CONFERENCE! This past weekend we enjoyed yet a wonderful fall Conference! Loved every last fabulous talk. It was even more so enjoyable going into an actual session as well. After which I got to hang with a great friend while Aaron went to the priesthood session.
Cooler weather means: Harvest! Which also means: SALSA!!!!

Thousands of TOMATOES ready to be bottled! UGH!
For as much as we LOVE to eat SALSA, we HATE making it!

WHY?

The mess, the CUTTING of everything, how time consuming it is...and once again the MESS!!!

The peppers and the onions HURT poor Aaron's baby blues! OUCH!
He disappeared for awhile and came back with these on!

GENIUS!!
He then was GOLDEN!
He even wore them all day, even while cooking! SILLY NILLY!
The kids had to fend for themselves. So they played in boxes! They also were GOLDEN!
We took the "other kid" ZIP out for a swim! Since once again the weather is getting cooler. He needed one of his last dips in the river.

What a GOOD dog. We all love him so much.
The kids get a kick out of going to the river bottoms to watch Zip....RUN and SWIM, but also play along side him too!
All SMILES!
I just LOVE watching my boys all in a row! SO dang CUTE! (including the dog!)

10 1/2 yrs old (people years)..getting up there! Gotta love a wet dog picture.
Since the weather is getting cooler, it was TIME for a GOOD ol game of CROQUET!!!!

Oh man, what a great game!!!

You say no??

Well try this...go to a park with HUGE hills. Make the course a CHALLENGE...and WALLA!!

IT was a BLAST! For reals.
Intense shot! Concentration all around. ;)
But the challenge only got harder and harder as we went up the steep hill.
While the parents are (playing the game) some of the kids are eating COOKIES! YUM!
She died...(yes, very sad) or in other words LOST! HA~ She really did AMAZING job though. I stunk! FUN times!
Since the weather is getting cooler....It was time to see the Kokanie (sp?) fish swim up the river to lay their eggs, just to die!!!

Cinnamon Creek
is the place to go!

Last year you might remember the EQ guys getting together to do this. We did it again, but last year was much better. For some reason there was not near as many fish! CRAZY!
The kids touch the cute little slimy fella!
Since the weather is getting cooler, the LEAVES change! So BEAUTIFUL! We were TRYING to take one of the scenery and us! Something, or some One got in our way! HA!
We got the shot!
It was getting DARK, since this time of year it does that! The moon came out..and we were FREEZING!
A hot chocolate at McDonald's was calling all of our names.) Drank it too fast though, burnt our tongues!) Don't you hate when you do that? I do.
The kids played..cuz they were big enough to do so.
They played, while the parents chatted away.
Didn't stop some adults from playing a bit of HOP scotch though! HA HA! (It does get a bit more difficult the older you get.) ;) Try it!
Summer is BY FAR my FAV time of the year. Super sad that it is pretty much over now. BOO WHO WHO.

Fall is among us though....guess we better just make the most of it! Right??

RIGHT!
