Thanksgiving dinner in the summer!

We had a Thanksgiving dinner in August!! Yup, you read that right! Aaron and I always get "turkey bucks" at Macey's each November. Practically by the time we redeem the turkey bucks, we get a turkey for FREE. We always put it in the garage freezer and say we will have a mini Thanksgiving dinner later on in the year. This year we thought it would be fun to invite some of our close neighbors and friends. We wanted to invite everyone...but weren't sure how much it would feed. Next year we will know to invite LOTS more. We asked everyone to bring there favorite Thanksgiving side dish. It was awesome, we had everything from mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade cranberries, pies, rolls, stuffing, veggies and so on. Pretty much all you have at Thanksgiving dinner..we had. YUM, so fun to eat, chat and just have some fun for the heck of it. (this way we could make our turkey, and get all the sides too! haa haa..tricky thinking ah??

The food got 'gobbled' UP!
Kids playing in the sand box, while parents chatted!

Nice aaron..nice!
I even had a center piece....right from the garden! (crook neck squash!)
